Download your data
How to export your followers and content from Instagram, TikTok, YouTube and Patreon, and what each platform won't let you take with you. Checked October 25, 2026 against each platform's help page.
Instagram
- Open Instagram and go to your profile, then the menu (three lines), then Accounts Center.
- Tap Your information and permissions, then Download your information.
- Choose Some of your information and pick what you need (for example Followers and following, and your posts), or choose All available information.
- Choose All time, pick JSON (for moving data) or HTML (for reading it), and submit the request.
- Instagram notifies you when the file is ready. Download the ZIP and save it in two places.
What you get: Your posts, captions, comments and messages, plus lists of followers and accounts you follow.
What you can't take: Followers come as usernames only. You get no email addresses, so the list can't be used to contact anyone.

TikTok
- Open TikTok, tap Profile, then the menu, then Settings and privacy.
- Tap Account, then Download your data.
- Choose what to include and a file format (TXT to read it, JSON to move it), then tap Request data.
- It can take a few days. When it's ready, go back to Download your data, open the Download data tab and tap Download.
- Download it straight away: the file is only available for up to 4 days.
What you get: Your profile, activity, comments, messages and video history, including a list of followers.
What you can't take: Followers are usernames, not contacts. Download your own videos separately if you need the original files.

YouTube (Google Takeout)
- Go to takeout.google.com while signed in to the Google account that owns the channel (for a Brand Account, switch to that channel first).
- Click Deselect all, then tick YouTube and YouTube Music. Use All YouTube data included to choose videos, playlists, comments and more.
- Click Next step, choose a delivery method (an email link, or Drive, Dropbox, OneDrive or Box), a file type (ZIP) and a size.
- Click Create export. Google emails you when it's ready.
- Download it within about 7 days; each archive can be downloaded 5 times.
What you get: The original files of the videos you uploaded, your playlists, comments, channel details and your own subscriptions.
What you can't take: Your subscribers aren't included. YouTube doesn't let you export who subscribes to you as contacts.

Patreon
- Sign in on a computer and open your creator page's Creator studio (Creator Dashboard).
- Click Audience. You land on the Relationship manager.
- Filter if you want (paid or free, active or canceled), and use the table settings to pick the columns.
- Click the CSV button at the top right to download your members.
What you get: Your members with their email addresses, tiers and status: the one major platform here that gives you real contacts.
What you can't take: Payment details stay with Patreon. Members who move to your own site need to subscribe again there.
